Happy New Year and all that...2013, chase your dreams, no matter what they are!
Silly sketch and probably not really worth the time I spent painting it, but then again someone nicknamed loopydave probably isn't going to exhibit the most rational behaviour.

Funny you should say that... ran across my original sketch the other day and I HAD drawn braces on her, but not the horse. For some reason that I can't recall now, I elected not to paint them in.... but you are right, it WOULD have looked better with them!

Great technique ...what program you use to paint?..tablet?

Thanks! Start with a pencil sketch, scanned in, painted in photoshop (CS3 at the moment). I know it sounds weird, but I dont use a tablet, rather I paint with the mouse. Less awkward than it sounds and I've been doing it for so long now, its kind of natural to me.

I dont know Nick Software colour efex pro and I've never tried CS4 or CS5 so I cant help you there... I do like CS3 better than the old CS, but I cant recall exactly what the differences are now. I suppose its all a matter of what you get used to
