Description
Trying something a little 'old school-y'... drawing from this years 'inktober'Fineliner on paper, text added in photoshop as my calligraphy needs a bit of work.
EDIT: Now available on a T-shirt at www.redbubble.com/people/loopy… if you are into that kind of thing!
Edison offered Tesla $50,000 to redesign his company’s DC generators and then refused to pay… but, for FAR FAR less, you can have a T-shirt that already works efficiently and Tesla won’t have to resign in protest this time.

heh, we used to have a cartoon poster of Tesla, Edison and Sir Joseph Swan(brit inventor of light bulb) in the school library - Tesla looking archily at Edison who's saying "I invented the light bulb" Swan to his left says "Like bollox you did". Swan developed a working light bulb before Edison and they basically agreed to divvy the market with Swan left with Britain, but he died before Edison leaving him largely forgotten.

Cool poster! I remember reading about Swan a while back... and he certainly had a better beard than Edison or Tesla

This is brilliant! (At least 100 watts!)
Edison did everything he could to destroy Tesla over the question of DC (Edison's idea) vs. AC (Tesla's). Edison enthusiastically supported the idea of the electric chair for executions since it used AC power, figuring it would scare people away from AC. Only the first execution was a dismal failure (unless you were the intended victim, who survived with burns).

Actually, the victim didn't survive, although the execution was still badly botched.

You're right. He survived the first try - he took 1,000 volts for 17 seconds, and lost consciousness. According to one piece I read, he was declared dead and then let out a loud groan.
They doubled the voltage, and after two minutes, the room smelled of burning flesh. It took 8 minutes before he died.
Edison supplied the electric chair.

Thanks - appreciate all those extra watts!
Edison really did appear to be very self serving and lacking in any empathy!
