Have had quite a few requests for tutorials, but haven't really had the time to do a proper one - this little step by step of a single character from a cover done a few years back will have to do for the moment. Did a series of concept sketches - the client ended up wanting a naked charlies angel kind of vibe and this the process I used to paint the middle character.Click download for full size file!

I really really really really like the nipples. I am very happy with the nipples. Sigh... nipples. The rest of it is really awesome too... but I like the nipples a lot. Nipples nipples nipples... it's even fun to type...

Hmmm... just 1 thing. When you fixed the eyes, the character kinda lost its demeanor. She looks "soft" with the new one.. I liked the first one. It goes well with the guns... she has that - "whatchastarin' at punk? you wanna try these babies?" attitude. 
anyways, your attention to details is outstanding. YOu THE MAN!

Glad you like. You're right about her losing a bit of that attitude, which was a pity, but the two other figures in the final artwork more than made up for it with their expressions, so it worked out alright in the end.
