no since this is more focused than dragon ball where a lot of what happens is based on the characters from the 3 kingdoms books since the students are essentially reincarnations of those characters who still continue to fight their war in the modern era. basically that whole last schtick kishimoto threw in as an excuse for why Naruto and Sasuke fight cause they are the reincarnations and carry the souls of the sage of 6 path's sons who fight each other only unlike in Naruto the author made it clear from the beginning Ikkitousen is about that concept and how this generation will end up repeating history or somehow find a way to break free from this cycle since Hakufu is the character who is destined to build a great army only to betrayed and killed by those close to her.
