intro to my next zine"A Story for the Shy Girl"
honestly i'm a little stumped as to what i'm going to put in this issue. what i've written here is an estimate of what i'd want to read in my next zine. but is it really interesting to you? my readers? anyone other than a hopelessly romantic 18 year old? what would You like to read... what juicy details or subtle truths do you want to read? I want to stay away from names, but anyone who knows me, will guess that when i write 'him' i mean chris. so is that too sappy, i don't want to reveal secretes or any sexual details. i want to give you something heartfelt and meaningful, but without being trashy or angsty.
my point is... what do you like? i've gotten little constructive response on my first zine... so tell me now... what do you want?
i'll be developing more ideas and posting in my livejournal, comments are always welcome.

Have you ever loved a music group before, or right as, it became "main-stream" and then noticed a sudden decline in the unique qualities that made them worth listening to that seemed related to thier growing popularity? They try to homoginize, to become what radio/mtv people want to hear, or think they want to hear. I think the truth of it is we don't know what it is exactly that we want to hear, read, see, ect... things that are known are only interesting in that they potentialy lead to, and help comprehend, things that are unknown. The point being, your art is fresh and they last thing I would suggest to you would be allowing other people to actively guide you by thier tastes. Plus, I am a "hopelessly romantic 18 year old" (though male of course) myself , so it seems pretty interesting to me! Anyways, Good Day ~ DP

you have a very good point. and i will take that advice, just as i take all advice, and do with it as i will. i think i've found that even in asking for my readers to guide me, most have said that they already like where it's going and encourage me to continue. although i do like compliments too, i also like constructive criticism (which on DA is hard to find).

what i can see that being is a cross between that pure , almost naive , confession - something true and simple but poignant. there are some emotions which everyone feels , if you can convey them through writing and photographs and the likes , find something which will resonate in every heart ... then you will have pulled this off beautifully , in my personal opinion. you can , you've already started <3

all that you list is so true. and i'm trying my best. so far it's "girlie" as my boyfriend says... but i still have a lot to write. thank you for the encouragement. it really means a lot.

not secrets but perhaps a description of feelings? true emotions put on paper and photographs? as you said, something heartfelt and meaningful
