Description
Once known as a retail and entertainment hub, now a shadow of it past glory as nature begin to retake the ruinsYet still it attract tourists from all over, as a must stop area for any ruin explorers.
But do take precautions, while in the past, it might be one of the safest place on earth, but now, it will only be safer with a weapon or two at hand.

This is a piece I did around 5-6 months ago, it was meant for another project but plans changed and I got to post it now
It is strange how a few months after I "completed" it, I still end up making major changes to it after I was prepared to post it up a few days ago.

Cool. Let me know if I can help. Check out deserted Urban Landscapes on Google, you'll get some outstanding shots of whole city blocks no longer in use. Here in the U.S., in cities like Cleveland and Detroit, there are a lot of places like that now. Apartment buildings, shops, malls, etc. Also, China (I think) has a bunch of massive theme parks half built that were either never finished or only ran for a short time. These Disneyland like places that are still standing, but abandoned. Would make for some great set pieces for your awesome Heroine.

I think it is more interesting that way, much like how Japanese artists like to use tokyo as a reference, and US artists using US cities as references

Don't know where it is, but does look pretty cool. You said "safest place" and it made me wonder what the "happiest place on Earth" would be like; Disney World after the fall of mankind! Can you imagine what archaeologists and other visitors would think when exploring that place?

Yup, a lot of places will change after just decades of abandonment, I always thought the same, what will archaeologists make of our random scribbling or will they treat our sci-fi and fantasy novels as fact or fiction

I really love the idea of abandoned buildings overgrown with plants and such. Really beautifully done, and a lot of props for not resorting to a sexy girl, either. Just incredible work.
