Nexus is Maximus's son. Refusing to admit any sort of relationship to his Father, or no desire to continue his legacy, Nexus became a mercenary for hire until he was able to start his own Rebel squad to take down his father.

He first meets atomic betty after she sneaks onto on of the maximus Crusiers only for it to be attacked by the Rebel squad lead by Nexus. Maxiumus escapes but nexus says. "no matter. He now has 1 place less to hide"
