I’ll bet you guys will have no trouble recognizing who this character is and what franchise he is from. Still, just in case for those who are confused, I will explain as best as I can. This particular character comes from a YouTube Puppet series entitled, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared. There is only one real good way to explain this franchise. The videos always start out the same. On the surface, the vids disguise themselves as an innocent and harmless educational kid’s show. Kind of like the ones you would see on public television.

As the videos progress however, they all take dark turns that can be a little disturbing to a first time viewer. However, what is interesting about these videos is that they all are kind of deep and will convey a subtle message that the viewer can gather from each individual episode. That being said, usually most of the issues touch on one common theme. This is of course, propaganda that can be found in the media, specifically on television. In this particular episode that I’m referencing, the video touches on how we can get wrapped up in online activates like social media and the news.
