Description And here's another housecat of mine. She's younger and a bit more mentally stable than Flicka, but she's just as sweet. This is Treeflower, named by me after Norbert's girlfriend on The Angry Beavers (ha ha). She was fathered by our late Tomcat, Numa (named after that lion in Tarzan). I have no pictures of him on the comp, sadly. But anyway, yeah, the owner of the mother cat gave us two of Numa's last litter. Treeflower and her brother, Kimball. Kimball was an odd case. He was quite sweet, mostly, but he got more agressive when he got older, and it seems neutering him didn't help his attitufe. He bullied various other cats we've taken in over the years.... scared Treeflower's first boyfriend off. KImball hasn't been seen for years... hopefunny he's just run away to another home where he can be the solitary cat he needs to be. Last time I saw him, he was fat, like HUMONGOUS. Like Garfield, except with grey fur and a worse attitude.

But, as for his darling sister, she has stuck with the family. She's become a mother several times, a good one too. The house decided she's had enough, though, and so last year she was spayed. I know I'll miss the days when I could go up to the attic once a year to see kittens... but, with the dog in the house now anyway, yeah, it's for the best. She really is intellegent. I mentioned her boyfriedn earlier. No kidding. Several years ago, A friend gave us a fluffy, orange unneutered male named Salix. I literally spent his first night int eh house with him, taking my pillows and blankets in the the bathroom where he was shut in for safety. IAfter a few days I introduced him to Treeflower... I sort of forced them together, really... not a nice thing on retrospect. But they eventually warmed up to eachother, and one night when she was in heat, I locked them int he bathroom together. I watched them make love... well, maybe tht's not the right word. It's hard to tell with animals. I just couldn't figure out why she would beat him up after they did it. Later I learned about male cat anatomy. X_X Yeow. so anyway, 9 weeks later she was a mother (thoguh some kittens might also have been her brother's)... the amazing thing is, she and Salix actualyl seemed be bonded in love, like people. They would runa round the house together, run up to my mother's bedroom and wake her up by streching up and jiggling the doorknob. It was so cute. Sadly, Salix, although a Tom, was not too strong, and Kimball scared him away one day and I haven't seen him since. I dunno what happened to him, hope he's okay. Whether Treeflower remembers him or not, I don't know since she can't talk. It's been 7 years I think, she's an older, wiser cat, but still playful. Yeah, I think she's 7 or 8 human years, and mind you other mammals sexualyl mature faste,r so no worrieds about her young motherhood!

Whew, enough exposition! Yes, that is MY toybox. Call me a loser, but I like to hold onto my childhood.... those stuffed animals are all that's left of my innocence, pretty much. I have grown jaded and perverse about the rest of the world. But nevermind me, Treeflower is enjoying resting herself right next to my own Teddy Bear, Pooky (yes, after Garfield's teddy).
