or you could just keep coloring over the eyes in the first step and use the erase tool on low opacity to make transparent the areas you want without making an extra unnecessary layer ??

I'm not quite sure why anyone would need a tutorial for this. I mean, you'd have to be a complete noob with SAI to not figure out something so basic.

I agree with you on this, but look at all the groups this is submitted to, and there`s new artist joining everyday. I guess that`s why this is so popular. But nonetheless, this artist created this with the intention of helping others, I guess that`s what counts, right?
