I stand here in the lightBut my mind is still in darkness
I ask myself why my thoughts all seem so morbid
But nothing that I do can stop it
A storm is coming, I can feel the rain
Why does this drizzle cause so much pain?
I try to run but it's all in vain
I'm losing all that I might gain
The night has come, I'm all alone
The storm is still with me, in monotone
The rain beats down in tears
The pillow's wet, but I can't feel
The scars on my back have yet to heal
How can I tell if this pain is real?
The time goes by, it's been two years
This isn't me, this isn't real
I left this place but still I'm here
I'm weaker now, and now I'm real
I cannot stand it, the storm gets bigger
