Loira is in general very adventurous, driven by her passion to seek and research the world and every ancient treasure that had been left behind and forgotten in time, but can be a bit impulsive when word of exploration or word of a ruins recently discovered and will immediately try to jump in the chance. The flower is rather confident in her abilities, having traveled on her own prior to meeting a companion- Elian- and settling down in Home, but since she continues to go out into the dangerous world of the unknown, she took her chances in training herself to at least defend herself. However, she can be a bit bossy and taking others what to do if they aren't doing what they're suppose to do (in research), but she will come to a stop if it brings discomfort if done excessive or too far. Loira can be also sensitive to a degree and will either stop others or walk away should anyone insults her on her belief of spirits, earth's vessels, and her refusal to be christened, those are just a huge no-no to her. 

History: 

There exists a small village, hidden among the known nameless forest, where it is largely dominated by the grass people and are strongly close to the life force of the earth and forest. Due to this nature that is taught and carried on by tradition and blood, they adapted the use of the flower language for almost all social activities to even the casual talk, and eventually begun to be used as names for those born on this ground. They believed that those christened with a flower name would be accepted as vessels to the planet's life force that thrives in the forest, and to be protected from harm from most dangerous situations and free from spirit influence. Loira was told since she was little of what would happen should one fail to be christened with a flower name upon their coming of age: a life to be eternally targeted and haunted by the evil spirits of the earth regardless of who or what they are. 

Did she believe it? Yes she did. Did she follow it? Mostly. Will she obtain her christening to be protected? Well... that is to be answered in due time.

Or perhaps never.

While Loira and her younger brother were out to help the adults with the gatherings to resupply the village's food storage, the shiny seed stumbled upon traces of ancient tech that no one in the village knew about and curiosity got the better of her. Wandering away from the group did the young plant find herself at the border of the village's known territory of "sanctuary" to lands new, finding more ancient items that were left forgotten for centuries. Grabbing the attention of the villagers of her findings did she find herself in a pickle: where she saw fascination and a spark of interest and the call for investigation, the villagers saw as potential cursed items that may attract danger to them all, and cast away the items as quickly as she showed them. Choosing to please them, Loira didn't bother to bring anymore of the items she comes across and instead hid them elsewhere at a comfortable distance, and the call to explore and learn and taking notes about the unknown with whatever tools she has and it continued on without stopping for years.

Finally, she reached the point where she is considered of age to receive her christening and now she was hitting another roadblock. Should she be christened she'll gain the protection as a vessel but cease her fascination for "the ancients" (as she calls them) for good, or give it all up for the sake of her passion? Could she live a life that way? Time was ticking and she had to decide fast or else the fate will choose, and ultimately she chose her passion over belief, well aware that doing so will result in roaming the world without protection. Due to her refusal for christening and to the village's belief, the villagers asked her to leave since her presence may bring harm to all of them. Loira wouldn't mind it although she will miss her family, but despite knowing the consequences, she was not quite ready to face the dangers this world had to offer once she left. 

Loira continued on regardless, having to learn along the way to defend herself as well as having all the opportunity to look and research anything new, and finally she made the biggest discovery: an ancient broken down city. Unfortunately, for some reason the shiny seed couldn't seem to remember what had happened, it was all but a blur mostly, but she can recall her emotions. Something was wrong here, she can't remember what but her instincts had told her to flee and get away from the city, and so she did. Although not without realizing she brought along a knocked out spirit, who too does not recall what happened before- or anything for that matter. Despite having no memory of how she met or got him, Loira sensed that he would not make it out if she didn't tag him along and decided that traveling with another would increase survival rate- and make a good social companion to mingle and know along the way, even giving him a name to go by for starters. Her companion was a bit brash when he finally woke up to say the least and somewhat childish and- oh my dear god was he absolutely VERY mischievous to pull pranks that annoyed the hell out of her for a long time, until she finally knew him enough to figure out a pattern out of him, and reduced the (successful) pranking to a minimum and much more tolerable. The price to pay to keep him around, but despite his attitude, she finds herself trusting and caring for this small spirit, she wouldn't be surprised to see him as an adoptive younger brother and this thought made her more at ease.

It was only a matter of time before the duo, whom trusted no one else but each other, to finally come across Home and settled down for the next 10 years. But still, neither of the two can recall whatever happened in that city, and something was nagging her within that she should have remembered something important....

  • While staying home and not outside doing field research, Loira tends to her plants and gardens as her children (plant joke)

  • The village she's from have the tradition of naming all of their children (and surnames) with the flower language
