Wow! Well, your work is wonderful, and I know my partner is a huge fan of your work (I think she's watching you, actually!)
And 20 inches sounds pretty good, to be honest!

I'm hoping to commish you of her Dragonsona some day, as a future idea for a gift (along with some others for myself too, haha!). It's something she's always wanted, and if I could get one made by one of her favourite plush makers, it would mean the world to her xD
Do you do quotes any time, or only when slots are open? (don't want to pester you to much if you're busy at the moment).

Yes I do quotes at any time, but please note that they're valid for 3 months before they need to be updated

Hi there, MagnaStorm!

My name is Adam, but that's besides the point. I've seen pictures of a giant glaceon plush you've made, and I would like to applaud your excellent work. You're thorough attention to detail leaves me in awe, and I am willing to purchase a life-sized Feraligatr for $350. I would like to know when you think you'll open you're commissions again. I know this sounds like begging, but I want you to know, no matter what, I think that you're doing a great job doing what you love! Please tell me whenever you get the chance, and I'll tell you the specifics.Β

hello,
According to Bulbapedia Feraligartr measures 7'07" , but the largest I can go is actually about 4'. Please check out my Commission info for more details about my custom work, thanks.

now I am wondering how small someone can make an aggron without it looking funky o-o these are good prices though.

MagnaStorm In reply to ellyke [2016-07-21 12:30:34 +0000 UTC]

Aggron's not a very plush-friendly design so making it somewhat chibi is a must, especially for smaller sizes.

Do you remake characters and plushies you already have made in the past? Just curious.

(Also I'm probably going to commission you in the future when I get funds. I'm happy you make animal plushies. :3)

MagnaStorm In reply to Izagar [2016-07-18 23:56:47 +0000 UTC]

I do remakes! though I won't remake a client's personal characters and sometimes I prefer to tweak some details (like their expression) to make the plush at least a little different Β

Too bad the commisions are closed, and im only like 17 so i dont have like 1k, i want a life size plush of the pokemon Spinda. Oh, the things in life that I will NEVER EVER get. I wish I had a friend that could make me one for free, or at least a lower price :c

Why life? Why cant i get cool stuff? Why is living so expensive. I hate currency, if everything was free, everyone could get what they want and be happy...

Another dream that will never come true. Fuck my life...

Form:
character wanted: (picture reference please, especially if there are multiple versions of the character out there)
size: (smallest I can go is 5-6 inches, largest is the biggest box UPS will allow me to ship)
specific requests: (painted eyes instead of embroidered, wired, specific style)
payment method: (paypal or money order)
address: (all I need at first is your postal code/zip code for a shipping estimate. I will only need your full address if you get the slot)"

DuskRipper In reply to ??? [2016-04-07 14:24:51 +0000 UTC]

Hey i might annoy you, when I do I'm sorry.
Why can't you ship giant plushies overseas? (i just want to know out of curiousity and stuff...and 'cause i search right now for plushie makers and want to know if this is really something too difficult to ask oo'' )

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MagnaStorm In reply to DuskRipper [2016-04-07 14:46:32 +0000 UTC]

It's not technically impossible, just incredibly expensive. Overseas shipping for plushies over 4ft would be well over $1000 because they're considered oversized packages and the only shipping option available for that size is express mail. And that's not even including the cost of the plush itself! D: So considering that no one, or at least very few people would actually want to pay the ridiculous shipping fees I've just decided to not offer the option to prevent disappointment and conflict.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

MarxForever In reply to MagnaStorm [2016-05-17 12:55:23 +0000 UTC]

Technically couldn't you greatly reduce the size of a giant plush by sending the empty skin? Might be more feasible to send it over seas that way. Just a thought.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

MagnaStorm In reply to MarxForever [2016-05-17 14:37:07 +0000 UTC]

This is something I've given a lot of thoughts to, but ultimately it's not an option I want to offer.
Most of my giant plushies actually have foam in their core for support and durability, so unless my client would want to build their own foam core for the plush, sending a plush unstuffed wouldn't make much of a difference because of the bulk of the foam.

Then comes the issue of consistency. The look of a plush actually strongly depends on how it was stuffed, and if someone else stuffs tighter or lighter or even just with a different brand of stuffing the plush could look very different. I wouldn't be able to guarantee the plush would look exactly like it did before it was gutted for transport and that's a huge deal breaker for me tbh

I'll take that into my battleplan to know what i do next ^^ maybe i just should start making my own 4ft plushies XD

Disney is pretty trigger happy with cease and desists, so it's to avoid trouble.
Also, most Disney characters already have high quality plush toys for a fraction of the cost I'd have to ask for a commission

When your commissions open, would it be possible to get a non-character plushie? More specifically, a samoyed dog plush. Or do you prefer doing characters since you can get references for them more easily?
