Description: The MP-45(Mass Produced Model line 45) is a type of power armor created to be a 'suit for the masses' and still sees wide spread use, even a century later.

History: The MP-45 was introduced by Fecklor Dynamics to be a cheap alternative to other suits on the market at the time. The suit has had an impressive production run as it is one the most if not thee most produced suit of power armor available and has multiple custom variants. Against unarmored targets and low tech worlds, the MP-45 is an amazing workhorse and even against properly equipped forces may still pose a threat and it's use in both atmosphere and space make it an extremely versatile suit indeed. Even in current times, the MP-45 is still widely used, even by forces that have access to more advanced technology due to it's low cost and relative durability and it is also used extensively as a training suit.

While it's sheer utility and ease of customization have kept the suit alive, the suit has a harder time of dealing with more recent models without a mix of proper tactics and equipment. But this is viewed as a short coming that is negligible as while more advanced models of power armor are being introduced, many introduce new weapons and some times defense systems for the suit, these include things such as plasma weaponry and gauss guns.

Design: The MP-45 is a basic form power armor, created from relatively cheap materials and is intended to be a workhorse. The armor is cheap to field and maintain and requires fairly little training, making it ideal for private security, military forces and even pirates due to it's low cost. The suit is made out of a steel-titanium alloy that can shrug off most forms of small arms fire with ease, however starting from a 30-06 which the armor can hold up to for a time, a fifty cal will punch through after one or a few hits(depending on hit location) and more powerful weapons such as high yielding lasers, plasma weaponry and missile launchers will just obliterate the suit. The suits micro fusion core is contained in a cheap containment shell, but the core is well built and offers the suit a decent operation time, however the stabilizers and cooling system can leave much to be desired.

Weaponry: The standard weaponry the suit uses is either a 20mm autocannon, a .50 cal machine gun or a missile launcher, however like most power armors there are many hand held weapons the suit can use, ranging from simple 9mm pistols up to beam cannons.
