Description This model was made around the year 2000 for then classic Homeworld, and Homeworld Cataclysm mods "Beyond the Final Frontier". It was called originally the Yamamoto class, but her name was later changed to Tyr for the norse god of war. Basically she is a direct TOS kitbash (more like a rip off) of the Starfleet Command, and Klingon Academy Yamato Class battleship. Using up scaled, and bolted on parts from my then version 2 Constitution model used in the same mod. The Saucer, Drydock, and Pylons are the only "original" parts of the model.

She is what would be called a "Space Control Ship" in Starfleet Battles lore. The idea is to have a mobile platform that goes to an area of space and "control" it. The SCS class ships in SFB lore were huge carrier class vessels that were heavily armed, and shielded. Almost to a battleships level. In the classic HW1/Cat mods she was capable of building, docking, and repairing strike craft, and corvette sized ships. The drydock facility was capable of building starships up to dreadnought size. She replaced the Mothership in HW1, and the Somtaaw Command Ship in HWC. The ship build animations looked especially awesome in HWC. Unfortunately neither the HW1, and HWC mod was ever finished. Due to the severe limitations of both games.

I did make an alternate version of her for Starfleet Command Volume 2. Without the drydock. That version wound up on several mass download sites. Someone also converted her to a Bridge Commander mod. I have many times seen her re-textured, kitbashed, and used in other projects. Without my permission, and no credit given of course. It doesn't matter. This model is over 20 years old now. Low poly, and very low resolution. I am making a new high resolution version of her now (without the upscaled connie parts )
