I love his eyes! I prefer it when you can tell it's a painting rather than trying to look uber photo-realistic. It doesn't have the same charm

Though I do want to tell you that my goal is not to make it look completely like the ref. I know I can't be perfect though I know there's always room for improvement. But I feel sticking to one drawing will not help me so that's why I do not want critiques after it is done. Hope that makes sense?
The point of art isn't to copy everything I see. Though I admit there are things that I can fix to make him look more like JJ, but I'll save that for another drawing. Hah. The end.

But answer me this, while you were drawing this, were you trying too hard to get everything right and making sure its as good as it gets? and half way as you were doing your best, you some sort got frustrated because I'm sure there are areas you are still telling yourself you screw up and wished you did better and stuff and you somehow did beat yourself over it and just tried to get this finish the best that you can?
Cause if you did, I want you to know that despite flaws, be happy with the artwork and treat it as the best thing you've ever done and just bask in that happy feeling.
*huggles* I feel that after the last one you did, you've been forgetting how fun drawing is suppose to be and trying to get things right and all that frustration starts setting in.
So.. erm what I'm saying is that, although you know the idea of how to draw it and colour and stuff, don't hesitate to just butch up the whole thing and play around with an entire different style just so you can experience something new and feel like a beginner all over again and feel at awe.

Yes, I understand. I know. You got me on the mark in unable to feel he passion I felt 2 months ago. Stopping myself from drawing "for fun" actually hurt me in truth. I know you're not trying to criticize me, but more to help me so I am not going to kill myself just 'cause of those comments.
I feel it might be the pressure that I am sending it to someone that made me want it to be perfect though I know it can't be. Though part of me knows to just do what I want. I'm still trying to regain that feeling I once had so I guess I just need more time.
I agree and yeh I know what you mean by telling me to explore more of something different instead of staying in the same spot. Though the thing is, I'm not sure what I want in terms of how to "butch it up". I know it'll come natural once I start feeling the love again bust as of now I feel lost and in need of some sort of assistance. ;[

Thanks for pointing out all my flaws. I don't mind honestly. Didn't really make me feel worse since I already knew all this. Hah. But to have someone point it out makes it more obvious so thank you.

If drawing doesn't feel right at this moment, go take some pictures.
Ah, I think you still have your God-Like qualities but its just your mind that's making you think that you've lost it and that it is stopping you from doing awesome.
*huggles* well you can butch it up by drawing over and over your mistakes, like you know how you draw with pencil, and when you make misakes you rub the lines away and if there's like lingering lead lines, it either makes you annoyed or feel like doing on a new sheet of paper? Well you just have to draw over those lines and just get it right all the way to the end and even if it looks sucky due to the lines that are not erasable. It doesn't matter, as long as you got to the end.
So don't beat yourself over the "I have to get this right!" mindset k. *chus*
But yea, you know this yourself. I'm guessing, you've yet to accept it entirely and find a way to kill it. When you're back and bouncing I'll be sure to crit for real. RAWR!!! Then you can sock me if I talked stupid. Muahahah XD

No it doesn't. The point is to tell me and you will...so no purpose is defeated. Though I haven't been in the mood for critiques lately 'cause like I told you, it's the finished product and I'm not going back to it. But I also want to learn, so go ahead. Just try not to make me scrap it again.
Honestly, I always accept critiques, but I've lost my fire lately so now I get put down more easily. But I'm trying to regain it back so whatever helps, try to put it more nicely. After I regain my passion, I'll probably take it better.
I hope this doesn't make me sound weak and pathetic?

The detailing in the hair is just wow, and the eyes are amazing, they have a deepness to them. Like you can get lost in them.
