Yeh, I'm starting to work on more traditional works for practice at the moment aside from my digital drawings I always post here. I hate how little variety I have in my gallery so I wanted to practice along the way.
I'm slowly teaching myself mehs. I also have to do traditional drawings for my drawing class but the teacher doesn't actually teach us unless you ask for one on one...but I prefer to teach myself so I never really bother calling him over unless it's to clarify something. DX
Well, I do look up to your pencil work! Any advice? I always remind myself with pencil, I have to be real gentle, and patient. Some people I see in my class do it real fast so their drawings look real flat. (Like those Picasso drawings.) Charcoal though can cover a lot of space so it's not as time consuming, but it pisses me off in how messy it is!!
I see your color pencil drawings, and I can tell it's friggin challenging to be able to pick/match the colors as closely as possible..and blend them. Blehs.

I can empathise fully. I'm glad you also change the composition from the ref photo, so that it's not simply a 100% "copy".
Hope you also checked out *MayFong 's art. I'm still in awe at her quick transformation. ^^
Picasso could make super-realistic drawings as well as the cubist! 
Coloured pastels are great, if you want to practice creating natural colours.

Yes, I actually saw *MayFong 's work long ago but before she did the digital work. I am also impressed. I think it's better than her pencil work actually. Like this one, [link] LOOKS SO DAMN REAL. Makes me angry even though I should be inspired! XD But in a good way. She's an example of a transformation for sure.
Lol Picasso. No matter how many times I look at his work, I can't understand it. Lol. Yay for abstract. A lot of my friends love pastels seriously. I think it's a real fun medium.

Yeah, she just suddenly turned this new direction, as pencil art was unfulfilling. I know, I know... about the feeling of anger, how it feels unfair that a person can create a stunning, lifelike artwork in a matter of days. (=akaLilith for example

Pastel is so fun to work with. It's even more fun when using white pastel with charcoal on dark/colored paper. Ah yeh, no matter where we look there will be artists we are totally jealous of. Amazing really. <3

The addition of the red text really makes the word pop. The scribbly background was a great idea too!
It was actually the first thing that caught my eye ( lol, cause it was in full view and I could only see the top of the picture anyways ;u; ).
White lines in the background kinda reminded me of stars which immediately made me think "oh hey, he's a star!" Aha!
But I took a closer look and realized they weren't stars. xDD;;;;
I find it interesting how you did the transparent white lines under the text. c:

Late reply: Yeh, a lot of people thought they were stars when they looked at the drawing. I have to admit, they did start off as stars but I kind of made them into spikes as I went. Thanks for noticing. XD Transparent white lines? It just has to do with lowering the opacity, used default brushes from ps so nothing really amazing,...and changing up the layer order. Thank you.
