Dear Sam,
It's 2020, and I've been thinking about the past a lot. The last decade has been....eye opening, to say the least. There's so much I wish I could go back and tell you.. so many warnings, suggestions, and advice. so much advice.

..I'm sorry that it took me this long to accept you. I'm sorry that things didn't turn out as promised.. but most importantly; I'm sorry that you had to go through almost everything alone. Going through what you did was necessary in order for me to turn out the way that I am today, but that doesn't mean that you deserved any of it. Nobody deserves that.
I guess the real reason I wrote this was to put a heartfelt description to a heartfelt piece. But I turned it into a letter to my younger self because, honestly, I spent so long hating you that I feel guilty. The good news is, you're not going to feel isolated forever. You may have missed out on having a childhood, but you're making up for it in one of the best ways possible.

I hope that in 2030, I can look back at 23 year old me and say the same thing I'm saying now:
It gets better, kid.
