I use the "Faber-Castel Pastel Pencils 'Pitt'" and yes, I do the fur hair by hair (there is a link to a video of me drawing this in the artists comment - be warned, its not the best quality) and that takes a lot of time But I'm happy that my work inspires you!

i watched at the video yesterday It was cool! But to me it looked like u were smudging some parts and not doing it hair by hair. I was just curious cause i want to do something like that, but not sure if i should smudge it or do the fur hair by hair... :/

Ah, I think I understand now. The parts where I'm smudging are parts where the fur is to short to see every single hair. Sometimes I do it as some kind of background for the hair (oh god, my english sucks, but I'll try to explain) for example where the white fur is...I'll start with the white pencil and smudge it a little and then I'll add the hair with black or with grey. So the smudging is like extra work, but I would'nt use it instead of drawing every hair. Was that somehow understandable? ^^"

yes it was understandable. So, instead of smudging the white and making it a little more work, i could just draw the hair?

I'm no expert and I never learned drawing properly. I experiment a lot and I think you should do that, too
