It's a brilliant program in my opinion!
Though it has a bit of a steep learning curve and you won't get far without tutorials in the beginning.. But it's very nice to use and every two months or so there's a new update with bug fixes and new features! And best of all: It's completely free!

I haven't done 3D work probably in a good 9 years or so. Maybe when I get my new computer I'll give it a shot. It's been a while.

Thanks!!
A charged Creeper sounds cool.. but if were ever to make such a thing I'd probably want to revise the whole model, to improve the anatomy and such.

Really nice! Scarier than the regular creepers, that's for sure. You might want to try and make it look more plant-like. Creepers are said to have a crunchy texture to them. Imagine it being covered in dry leaves.

Thanks!
You got an interesting view on Creepers. However, I've always seen them to be more like reptilians or amphibians. I guess the style of Minecraft leaves a lot to your imagination!

Such a design might very well look a lot better than this (I've seen far better looking Creepers with that plant-look you described), but this is just what I imagined a Creeper to look like (if it'd be more detailed), the first time I saw one.

Yeah, me too. I was taken by surprise when I heard that was their supposed texture.

nice work! you should try zbrush though.. I think you could get even more organic result by using zbrush!

If I could affort it, I'd really like to use Zbrush! But I believe its possible to get better results within Blender if I keep practising.

I think you get the best result by combining blender with (Zbrush or mudbox)..!

Yeah. I might even be able to get my hands on one of them when I start studying Game-Art!

Ah,, cool I knowe that all autodesk programs are available for students... So you will have access to Maya and 3ds Max,, I think that mudbox also belongs to autodesk,, I dont knowe about pixologics offers for students though.. But there are always cracked versions

I have to say, you did a remarkable job at designing this Creeper design. It really does the trick.

Thats a nissssssssssssssssssssse render you have there those teeth though why would a creeper need sharp teeth, and the face kinda reminds me of my NEIGHBOUR D: OMG MY NEIGHBOUR IS A CREEPER
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
ManWithAJawharp In reply to Alucus [2011-12-20 21:48:36 +0000 UTC]
Thanks!
About the teeth, I guess creepers want to eat too. And it is not possible for one to eat a porkchop without teeth, now is it?
And for your neighbour.. I'd suggest you make yourself some iron armour in case he might explode. xD
