Maple was enjoying life on her uncles farm, and there was nothing she liked more than bonding with her horses. two of them had been wild mares before Maple tamed them, and she relished the idea of doing it again. the last few weeks she had been scouting the nearby herds in hopes of finding a young stallion. one late day in September she found him, a stunning white and golden stallion, he seemed to be part of a bachelor group, he was with 2 other young stallions. any one of them would be a fine horse to have, but one look at what white and golden fur, glowing in the sunlight, and she knew that was the horse for her. she had been out on horseback for a few hours now, and she wanted her uncles help in case something went home. she had been riding Gaia (www.deviantart.com/tharoksu/ar… ) and the horse was getting tired from the days track. She took her trusting mare home to the stable, got her a good portion of food, with a few apple slices as a thanks. She ran up to the farmhouse to get her uncle, and as always he was willing to help. they tacked up Luna (www.deviantart.com/tharoksu/ar… ) and Ella (www.deviantart.com/tharoksu/ar… ) and went on their way. As darkness set inn over the wilderness, the full moon climbed slowly up the sky. by the time they found the young stallion again it had settled down for the night. they kept their horses at a calm and slow walk, as not to startle the young horse before they got in close. The ghostlike white stallion suddenly jerked his head up in alarm and spotted the horses with the strange creatures on them, they smelled unfamiliar, and unfamiliar was dangerous. He startled up from his sleeping position and bolted. the other stallions made a run for it too, but they headed off in another direction. the stallion tried to follow them but Luna cut him off, forcing him away from his companions. the ground shook as 12 hooves thundered over the field, scaring up birds and a nearby family of deer. Luna and Gaia kept paste with the wild horse until they could get close enough to throw the lasso, Maple had practiced her throwing a lot lately, wanting to ass another horse to her own herd. As she threw the lasso she bit her lip in anticipation. It flew just in front of the stallion and he galloped into the noose. as the rope tensed, the noose tightened and the stallion was secured in the lasso. he was trapped, Maple's uncle was quick to get his own lasso over the frightened young stallion's head. together they slowed their paste and forced the stallion to a halt. he was bucking and rearing, trying his best to get free. the humans and domesticated horses just kept him trapped, waiting for him to tire himself out. it took a long while, but eventually he stilled. he breathed hard and his legs were shaking from the adrenaline and effort he had put into his escape attempt. They used the entire night to get him home with them, but eventually he followed the mares. they lead him into the sturdiest encolour and cut the lassos in order to loosen them enough to just fall off. they left him in there and tended to Luna and Ella. They got a lot of treats for their hard nights work. they let them spend the night outside by the scared stallion, hoping that they could help him calm down.
