Chapter 3
A Guardian's Beginning
The shaggy haired boy ran down to his home and barged through the door, running up the stairs and straight to his father. "FATHER, I PASSED THE TEST!"
He ran over to his father and hugged him tight, but of course in return, his father shoved him away and down the stairs. "GET OFF ME BOY!" He was carrying a bottle of whisky with him, and he chucked it at Aamir's head, which surprisingly enough, connected to his temple.
"D-DAD", he stumbled back a few inches, holding onto his now bleeding temple, slipping out the pieces of glasses.
"BOY I WILL BEAT YOUR ASS, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE JUMPING ON ME LIKE THAT"
"D-DAD I PASSED THE T-TEST", Aamir was on the floor, curled slightly into a ball, his hands up, hoping to block his father.
"....well well well! THIS IS WORTH CELEBRATING! COME SON, LET US GET A DRINK, MY TREAT", he smiled a stupid drunk grin, putting his arm around his shoulders and leading him outside.
"...Dad I don't think that angels should be drinking..."

"YOU SON OF A BITCH", Aamir's father glared at him, chucking him out of the tavern, and then spartan kicked him in the ass.
"D-DAD PLEASE, I'M SORRY", Aamir was on the floor, crying, stumbling to get up, as his father began kicking him across the face.
"YOU'RE A DISGRACE TO THIS FAMILY AAMIR, A FUCKING DISGRACE", he kicked him in the ass again, which caused Aamir to stand up and start running away.
"YOU'LL NEVER SUCCEED IN ANYTHING YOU WORTHLESS PIECE OF SHIT, YOU'LL ALWAYS RUN AWAY FROM YOUR PROBLEMS, JUST LIKE HOW YOU'RE RUNNING AWAY NOW.", his father laughed and started chugging his whiskey bottle down, walking back into the tavern.

Aamir was curled up into a corner in an alley way, crying, but then Etro, his child hood crush, walked by and heard the crying, and she was just compelled to go over. She noticed Aamir and ran over, bringing him into a tight hug, causing Aamir to gasp and merely sob harder. He realized that it was Etro, and clung on to her, sobbing hard, as he was staining her dress with his tears. Every time he tried to stop, he merely cried harder, hugging her tighter. Eventually he stopped crying, but he remained in her embrace, standing up slowly with her. He then nodded as they started walking to her home. "...I passed the guardian test"
"AAMIR, THAT'S FANTASTIC!", she smiled lovingly at him and hugged him tightly, but then noticed that he flinched slightly and frowned a little. "Aamir what's wrong?"
He merely moved his hair out of his eye, and she immediately knew what was wrong when she noticed the bruises on his arms, and his black eye. He's told her before, about his abusive father. "...let's go to my place and I'll bake you some cookies okay?"
He simply nodded and continued to walk with her to her place, smiling slightly from the memory of how delicious her cookies were. He wanted to hug her, to thank her, but his lips were sealed shut and couldn't speak. He felt like if he were to try and speak, he would either squeak, or begin to sob in her arms again. He simply stared down at the soft ground they walk on, the humans seem to call them clouds.
"We're here! I think Athena* was actually making some cookies as well"
"...that sounds good.."
Etro frowned slightly, worried for Aamir's emotional health and she opened the door for him, watching him walk in without a moments hesitation. This was basically Aamir's 2nd family, except with brothers and sisters since he was technically an only child. He actually has a step-brother, but we'll get into that later on. Aamir walked into the house, waving at Pin*, trying to force a smile but it didn't work.
"Just make yourself at home okay Aamir?", Etro said with worry in her voice, and he did as he was told, literally flopping onto the couch and groaning into the pillow. "....I hate my life...", was something he continuously whispered to himself in the pillow he had in his hold. Etro came back after 30 mins of course, she was holding a baggie filled to the brim with cookies of Athena's and her own that they baked from scratch. Aamir of course cried himself to sleep on the couch, he was snoring lightly, his face tear striken. She sat down beside him though, making sure not to wake him. He looked so peaceful in his sleep, and she couldn't help but begin to pet his hair, running her fingers through it. A few mins passed before Aamir stirred in his sleep, smelling the cookies and sat up, rubbing his eyes and sniffling. "Thanks Etro.." He began to yawn and reached for the cookies.
"Your cookies always have been the best I've eaten..." He started stretching, and then took a cookie out of the bag, munching on it.
"...I should go see who I'm supposed to be a guardian angel for...thanks for the cookies.." Aamir stood up and smiled, giving her a quick kiss on the cheek and walked out, heading towards the gates.
About an hour later, he was standing outside this trailer, watching the boy he was supposed to protect. The kid looked a little like him, but with blue eyes and always wore bunny slippers everywhere he went, and his name was Ozzy. He was obviously younger than him but, he still had slight appearances of what Aamir looked like. Of course he disregarded it and kept an eye on him, bored as all hell. Of course there was this one kid that always came to visit Ozzy, he was a caramel color with pointed ears, somewhat sharp fushia colored eyes and he looked....kinda nerdy. Aamir never did figure out what that boy's name was, but he was becoming suspicious when the caramel kid pointed up into the sky directly at him, multiple times, and Ozzy squinting to see in the direction of which the boy pointed. Aamir thought nothing of it, he wasn't always the smartest angel of the bunch so it never bothered him to begin with. Aamir of course, would see the flaws of not doing anything about it soon enough, and he would eventually suffer the consequences of never taking care of his suspicions.
