Description
Silence – the ruler of the Among the Roots, the last of the Sons of Ash. He lives with his partner, firstborn Voice, at the peak of the roots. Using a cane made of the of the Great Oak and a bell he sends the dead from his land to the Oak, where they merge with the Oak as leaves.
He sometimes plays chess with the Messenger of Death.
