such great detail! The flowers and tassles in particular jump out, but the figure herself compliments the scene well as she is smooth where the rest is not.

This is really gorgeous, I love all the little details. She looks so relaxed and happy. I love the flowers and especially the way her dress drapes on her. About how long does a sculpture like this take you?

this is beautiful, the way you captured the moment, with all of the careful attention to detail that i imagine that required.

just wondering, did you make this from a drawing of Mr Blackshear's or did he do a sculpture and this is your interpretation/refinement?

For this sculpture and with all the "Ebony Visions" sculptures I do, Thomas does an initial drawing/design of the figurine. Then he shoots photos of a model in the round. He then does a rendered drawing of the figurine and sends me all the photo reference and the drawing. I take it from there and scultp it. The scultpure is send over seas for production. The finished product is a painted resin scultpure on a wooden base. The line of figurines is called "Eboney Visions".

again a stunning work, from the skin and hair to the folds and draping of cloth to the wood textures.

This was sculpted with Super Sculpey and some very small sculpting tools. Nothing special.
Glad you like it.
