Prowl is the Autobot military strategist. As such, Autobot Commander Optimus Prime keeps Prowl near at hand for his indispensable expertise. Prowl is quiet, competent, loyal, and possessed of almost endless patience. Prowl's dedication to logic and reason make him an excellent strategist, but not much of a socialite. He really doesn't tend to get along well with his fellow Autobots, many of whom find his strict adherence to military protocol stifling, and his uptight personality sure doesn't help matters. He does not react well to the unexpected, to the point that it can literally scramble his cerebral circuits. The Dinobot commander Grimlock, who is disorder made manifest, especially honks Prowl off, and Grimlock feels pretty much the same way in return, only with more swear words. He's very fond of his acid pellets, though. And to top it all off, he's been known to do a serious roundhouse-kick on each and every Decepticon while delivering a fatal blow. That said, he does not have any negative influence from others around him. All things - even combat - are subject to reason. If one is willing to calmly apply one's mental faculties to any problem, the solution will soon reveal itself. He often finds the chaotic antics of humans and other Autobots frustrating, but he will stop at nothing in their defense.

The design for Prowl comes from his classics toy design, only the legs that are a pain in the AFT to work on since I decided to figure out which one would work better. Other than that, there's not really a whole lot of new stuff to talk about. He's got a pistol and a pair of handcuffs seen from Animated. And more importantly, I didn't like the way IDW portrayed Prowl as a villain, so instead, I decided that his characterization would not make Prowl a complete prick, but as a calm standing and focused like Chuck Norris from the Walker Texas Ranger series that gave me a massive little hint of influence. Plus, I added a moustache (I ought to thank for that wonderful influence on him) since I thought it added a cool look for that Texas ranger experience to the character, and, admittedly, with the 80% half from animated Prowl without the ninja-like attributes. His characterization takes the calmness of G1 Cartoon Prowl and cranks it up to 11. I just really like the idea of Prowl being a Chuck Norris-inspired Autobot that likes to bring around roundhouse kicks.
