KOVU: Now, Kopa, I want to prepare you for what to expect when we return. My grandmother Azola and I know Zira very well and how preserving, cunning, vengeful, and unpredictable she can be. That is why we cannot expect any warm welcomes by her and Nuka, especially since now that Zira is grooming Nuka as Scar’s heir in my place thanks to that they and the rest of our families and friends back in the Pride Lands and the Outlands believe us both to be dead.

KOPA: What can we expect?

KOVU (after giving a sigh): The worst. I know I have not been there for you so we could grow up together in the way brothers do, I mean we don’t really eat bugs and stuff. (Disgusted at the thought of always eating bugs) Eww. However, despite all the skills you have been able to get from your time here, you’re gonna need some new skills in case we have to fight Zira and Nuka. We cannot expect your family, your father’s Pride, the Lion Guard, and the Outsiders to help us as we don’t know how they’ll feel about our disappearance and return.

KOVU: Which is why I’m going to teach you more on how to hunt and fight although a big part of it is already in your nature. But since it’s already towards sundown, we’ll begin tomorrow.

And so, as promised, the next day, Kovu trains Kopa in every way he said he will as Azola, Chumvi, Shere Khan, Bagheera, and Baloo help out as well along the way.
