(The Guardians of the Galaxy, Yondu Udonta, and Kraglin Obfonteri watch along with Thor, Loki, Korg, Miek, Heimdall, Valkyrie, Bruce Banner/Hulk, the Sakaarian Rebels, and the Asgardians as Asgard bursts into flames and is destroyed along with Hela and Thanos and they later watch Thor become King of Asgard and they all head for Earth)

VALKYRIE: We’re all safe. That’s all that matters.

PETER QUILL: All of us.

YONDU UDONTA: I still can’t believe we’re allowing an entire world be destroyed.

THOR: We're fulfilling the prophecy.

VALKYRIE: I hate this prophecy.

NEBULA: Neither do I.

PETER QUILL: All of us don’t.

BRUCE BANNER/HULK: Hulk hate this prophecy.

THOR: So do I, but we have no choice.

GAMORA: It’s what’s best for all these people here.

ROCKET: All of us.

GROOT: I am Groot (Translated: “It’s no longer safe here with Hela and Thanos around”).

THOR: Gamora, Rocket, and Groot are right. Surtur destroys Asgard, he destroys both Hela and Thanos so that our people can live. But we need to let him finish the job, otherwise it will mean death and destruction for us all.

Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, Nebula, Drax, Mantis, Yondu Udonta, Kraglin Obfonteri, Thor, Loki, Korg, Miek, Heimdall, Valkyrie, Bruce Banner/Hulk, the Sakaarian Rebels, and the Asgardians watch with mixtures of shock, heavy weighted silent grief, and relief as Asgard has been destroyed and reduced to rocks and asteroids.

THOR (as he processes the decisions he's made): What have I done?

HEIMDALL: You saved us from extinction. Asgard is not a place, it's a people.

ROCKET: He’s right. You did what was right and best for all of us and your people.

PETER QUILL: Besides, if this had not been done, more innocent lives would have been wiped out.

As the giant cruiseliner is gliding through space with the twinkling of stars all around it, Thor steps out onto the main deck to see an assembly of Asgardian and Sakaarian refugees along with Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, Nebula, Drax, Mantis, Yondu Udonta, Kraglin Obfonteri, Thor, Loki, Korg, Miek, Heimdall, Valkyrie, and Bruce Banner/Hulk awaiting their King. Thor looks over his people and begins to walk through the crowd. His subjects part, allowing him through. It is the antithesis of the opening coronation from the first THOR movie. The people aren't cheering and lauding him, but rather they are smiling. Humbly bowing. Grateful. And Thor isn't acting arrogant. Not trying to show off any swagger. He is stately. A contemplative and dignified king. At the end of the procession, Bruce Banner/Hulk, Loki, Valkyrie, Heimdall, Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, Nebula, Drax, Mantis, Yondu Udonta, Kraglin Obfonteri, Korg, and Miek stand next to the Captain’s Chair.

VALKYRIE: Your throne.

Thor takes his place on the Captain’s Chair as the new King of Asgard while Bruce Banner/Hulk, Loki, Valkyrie, Heimdall, Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, Nebula, Drax, Mantis, Yondu Udonta, Kraglin Obfonteri, Korg, and Miek flank around Thor on opposite sides of the Captain’s Chair.

HEIMDALL: So, King of Asgard. [Thor turns around to see thousands of people staring back, silently awaiting word from their new King as he now feels the true weight of the crown and takes a moment] Where to?

THOR: I'm not sure. Any suggestions? (Turning to Korg and Miek) Miek, what's your home planet?

KORG: Oh, Miek's dead. I accidentally stepped on him on the bridge, I've just felt so guilty I've been carrying him around all day... [Miek wriggles to life as Korg lights up] Miek, you're alive! He's alive, everyone! What was your question?

THOR (looking forward and taking charge): Earth it is.

And with that, Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, Nebula, Drax, Mantis, Yondu Udonta, Kraglin Obfonteri, Thor, Loki, Korg, Miek, Heimdall, Valkyrie, Bruce Banner/Hulk, the Sakaarian Rebels, and the Asgardians head off for Earth where Thor builds New Asgard in Tonsberg, Norway. Peter Quill, Gamora, Rocket, Groot, Nebula, Drax, Mantis, Yondu Udonta, and Kraglin Obfonteri stick around for a while to help the Asgardian citizens and Sakaarian Rebels get settled in and established in New Asgard before they head back out into space to continue on with their duties as the Guardians of the Galaxy.
