What if the Night Pride are in the Pride Lands
(The Lion Guard: Battle for the Pride Lands)
(Kopa presents his Lion Guard (Hamu, Jambazi, Uru, Mtoto, and Imani) to Kion and his Lion Guard friends, the Royal Family, Rani, and the Night Pride)

In this, Kion does not get his scar, because Rani saved him from that happening which has therefore prevented Ono from having to save Bunga since he did not tackle Ushari which also prevents the vog from damaging his eyesight. And so, Ono does not lose his Keenest of Sight ability. Now that Scar is gone and Jasiri is in charge of the Outlands, there’s finally peace in the Pride Lands which means that Kion and his Lion Guard will not be needed as much. This leaves Kion and his Lion Guard with a decision on what they want to do next.

BUNGA: Now that there’s finally peace in the Pride Lands thanks to that Scar is gone and Jasiri is in charge of the Outlands, the question is’what are we going to do next since it is clear that we will not be needed as much?’

RANI (having come up with an offer): Well, after everything we’ve been through together, you guys are welcome to come with me and the Night to the Tree of Life and join the Night Pride. You guys can be of very great use there.

KION (since he has fallen in love with Rani and would love to see the Tree of Life): I don’t see how I could say ‘no’.

RANI (excited): Excellent.

KION (turning to Simba and Nala): Mom? Dad?

NALA: After everything you’ve done for the Pride Lands, I think it’s okay for you to go live at the Tree of Life and join the Night Pride.

SIMBA: I agree. Go, Kion. And have the Lion Guard go with you.

SARAFINA (turning to Sarabi): What do you think, Sarabi?

SARABI: It’s alright with me.

RANI: Very well. (Approaching Kion, Fuli, Bunga, Beshte, Ono, and Anga and touching their right shoulders thereby giving them the Mark of the Night Pride) Kion, Fuli, Bunga, Beshte, Ono, Anga, I consider each of you a member of my Pride.

KOPA (feeling something on his heart): Kion? (Everyone present turns to Kopa as they listen to what he is going to say) With your permission, I’d like to take over as the Leader of the Lion Guard.

KION & KIARA (surprised): What?

KOPA: While I do agree that you guys will not be needed as much now that there is peace in the Pride Lands with Scar gone and Jasiri in charge of the Outlands, however, it has come to my attention that it would still not be wise to leave the Pride Lands without a Lion Guard, otherwise we would be leaving the Pride Lands undefended. Plus, while it is true that the throne is supposed to be mine with me being the firstborn, but it has also come to my decision that Kiara will make a very great Queen. And besides, I’ve already found another calling for myself on my path on the Circle of Life like being the Leader of the Lion Guard for example.

KIARA: You sure about this, Kopa?

KOPA: I am, Kiara. Like I said, it has come to my decision that you will make a very great Queen while I feel that being Leader of the next Lion Guard is where I belong in my path on the Circle of Life.

SIMBA: If that is your choice, Kopa my son. I respect that decision.

NALA (speaking on behalf of the rest of the Royal Family): We all do.

KION (agreeing): Very well then. (As he approaches Kopa and puts his paw on Kopa’s left shoulder and withdraws it as the light orange Mark of the Guard appears Kion and Kiara’s big brother’s shoulder which causes his and his Lion Guard friends’ Marks of the Guard to disappear and be replaced by the Mark of the Night Pride on their right shoulders) Kopa my big brother, as Leader of the Lion Guard, you’ll need the Mark of the Guard and the Roar.

KOPA: The Roar? (As Kion nods and they share a very big hug for a moment and then break apart) Thank you, Kion my little brother. This is such a very great honor. I won’t let you down.

KION (agreeing): I know you won’t.

Just then, Zazu comes into the Lion Guard Lair followed by Hamu and Mtoto along with Muhimu (Hamu’s mom) and Mtoto’s Mom.

ZAZU (to Kopa): Young master, I’ve brought Mtoto, Hamu, and their mothers like you asked.

KOPA (turns to acknowledge Zazu, Hamu, Mtoto, Muhimu, and Mtoto’s Mom): Perfect timing, Zazu. Thank you. (To Mtoto and Hamu) Welcome, Mtoto and Hamu.

HAMU (as he and Mtoto bow in respect to Kopa): Prince Kopa.

As it turns out, Kopa had earlier told Zazu to bring Mtoto, Hamu, and their mothers to the Lion Guard Lair so he can tell them about his special offer for them which would involve their mothers’ approval and blessing.

MTOTO: So, why did you send for us, Prince Kopa?

KOPA (after taking a deep breath): Mtoto and Hamu, the reason I called you both in here is because I have a very special offer I want to give you guys, something that may require your mothers’ approval. (As everyone present listens) In case you don’t know about this, but just to give you guys a heads up, it has been decided that since Kion and his Lion Guard friends have decided to join the Night Pride and live at the Tree of Life, my brother Kion here has been very kind enough to let me be the Leader of the Lion Guard in his place since Kiara is going to be Queen which I approve of. Which is why, after everything that Kion and his Lion Guard friends have told me about you both, I want you guys to be part of those who I want to join the new Lion Guard.

Everyone present is taken aback by what Kopa has just offered.

KOPA (seeing Muhimu and Mtoto’s Mom’s reaction): Muhimu and Mtoto’s Mom, I really do need your sons on the Lion Guard. Mtoto is the strongest animal I know while Hamu is the bravest animal I know.

MUHIMU (as her eyes and Mtoto’s mom’s eyes get huge): Bravest and strongest animals you know?

KOPA: Yes.

MTOTO’S MOM (After a moment of silence and as a smile appears on her face): Sure, Prince Kopa. All ask is that you take very great care of my son.

MUHIMU (giving a smile as well): I agree.

KOPA (promising): I will, Muhimu and Mtoto’s Mom. And thank you.

Just then, Jambazi and Uru step forward.

JAMBAZI: Kopa, since you’re now in charge as the Leader of the new Lion Guard, I want to join the Lion Guard as well.

URU: Me too.

RANI: You sure about this, Jambazi and Uru?

URU: We are, Rani.

JAMBAZI: Plus, Uru and I have both come to agree that my place and her place on the Circle of Life is with Kopa here in the Pride Lands.

RANI (with approval): If that is your choice.

KOPA: Very well then. Mtoto, Jambazi, Uru, and Hamu, step forward.

Mtoto, Jambazi, Uru, and Hamu do so.

KOPA (as he approaches them and one by one, puts his left paw on their left shoulders and withdraws it which causes the Mark of the Guard to appear on their left shoulders): Hamu, you are the Bravest. Jambazi, you are the Fastest. Uru, you are the Keenest of Sight. Mtoto, you are the Strongest. (Feeling what is on his heart) I’ve also decided to add a position on the Lion Guard reserved for its Smartest member, and I know just who I have chosen for it.

Kopa approaches Imani.

IMANI (confused): Kopa, what are you doing?

KOPA (as he stands tall in front of Imani and raises his paw): Imani, for all that you have done for me and my family and the Pride Lands and for being such a very great friend and mentor to me who never let me and my family down and who I am very proud to have as part of my family as well for all your great sense of intelligence, you are the Smartest.

With that, Kopa touches Imani’s left shoulder and withdraws it as the dark brown Mark of the Guard appears on the dull brown former Outsider’s shoulder. Everyone present is very shocked with surprise and amazement by Kopa’s actions to appoint a former Outsider and his own mentor and adoptive mother as a member of the Lion Guard and are very proud 🥲🥹 of him doing so at the same time.

KION: Wow 🤩😯😮

BESHTE: Poa!

BUNGA: UnBungalievable!

KOMAN: That’s my mate.

SANURA: That’s my mother.

RANI: Amazing!

IMANI (baffled and eyeing her Mark of the Guard): Me..? As a member of the Guard? Kopa, I… I don’t know what to say. This is such a very great honor… Really. But… But can you really do that, Kopa? I’ve been an Outsider for most of my life.

KOPA (smiling) True, Imani. But by earning my trust and the trust of my family as well the trust of the Pride Lands and how you have shown yourself to being able to seek redemption for your past mistakes, you have proven yourself worthy of both your Lion Guard membership and title. Plus, I decided that having you with me on the Lion Guard is one of these ways of how I would repay you for all that you and your family have done for me and my family and the Pride Lands.

Imani is so very overcome with emotion that she pulls Kopa into a very big hug as tears 😭 of happiness fall down her face.

IMANI: Thank you, Kopa my son. This really means a lot to me and my family.

KOPA: You’re welcome, Imani.

Kopa and Imani then break apart after a moment and then Kopa turns to everyone else present.

KOPA: And now the Lion Guard has six members.

RAFIKI: Ha ha! Never one for tradition, is he? Just like Kion.

NALA: That’s my boy.

KION: Yes. That’s my big brother.

KIARA: Yes.

And so begins Kopa, Imani, Mtoto, Jambazi, Uru, and Hamu’s adventures as the new Lion Guard while Kion and his Lion Guard friends go with Rani and the Night Pride to the Tree of Life and make that place their new home.
