Description Terragen #12 - Pool Table

As always I am experimenting with RAW file and this time also with Image overlays. I like the result, though it needs work (hence the Version 1). Comments would be hot here guys, just a little post processing in PSP6. I know its not properly proportioned but it was just a quick experiment.

Comments, suggestions?

although the jaggies seems to take away from the scene a little

Wow, you HAVE been busy! This is awesome, the colors, lightness and contrasts. I love the tiles and the creative edge on this, the jaggedness. Great job on it.

this is cool... it does need work for but what the image is it looks awesome.
If I was you smooth the edges around the pockets and the triangle.. apart from that I really like it

Ha! Now this is what I call deviant art - completely twisting the intentions of the app to such good effect.

I'm not experienced enough to give you any direction. Just enthusiasm. Next you need to like, model a fighter plane cutaway or something

I also noticed some stuff in this that I didn't see when you sent me a quick render last night ... I agree with stotty about removing the jagged edges .. Combining it with another file may help, but to be honest I'm not quite sure.

As for the sky, there are some very noticeable banding lines which can be easily fixed .. its nothing big since the main concept is on the pool table, but I thought I'd tell you.

Overall its an awesome job mate .. Very unique.

Detail: 3/5 -[ Fix up those jagged edges and the banding .. ]-

Complexity: 4/5 -[ I love how unique this render is .. you don't see many images like this .. just needs a bit work and you're set. ]-

Overall: 7/10 -[ Just needs a bit of work mate and you're on your way ]-

Very original idea. I feel that the light is too glaring at the back and kinda draws attention away from the main subject.

It maybe version 1, but this is sooo funky, it gets a fav from me

I love it when people have the balles to do aome decent experimentation; and this takes the biscuit

WOW this is really cool... there are things in the full view that didn't show in the little preview you showed me last night - like the jagginess of the rack and the pool balls.
I don't even know how you got that tiles look on the outside of the table... very cool
Also from what I've always seen, usually the green comes up onto the banks of the pool table too, and on top of the banks.
The sky colors are amazing, and the clouds and rays cool too, although the clouds are a little chunky.
...And finally I like the title you had originally best - Pooltable of the Gods or something like that - maybe when it is finished eh?

Can't wait to see this finished

I am wondering what would happen if you went into the combine dialog and did a copy existing - then a smooth highest - that may resolve some of the jaggies for you - although you will be struggling if your max is a 513 terrain

I am impressed though - try increasing the gamma to 1.5 to increase the clarity a little - and perhaps sharpen it up [link] too sure about how the camera is looking into the rack and seeing the balls with straight sides though, perhaps lower it a little to reduce the effects
