Description
Stumble bumble fall and fumbleanything to make a rhyme.
Pile of papers in the corners
wasting so much precious time.
Just as bad as kryptonite.
Worse than pebbles in your socks.
The feeling writers try to fight.
The gremlin known as Writer's Block.
Laying in your bed at night
perfect poems fill your head.
Pull on shorts, turn on the light
grabbing paper, pen in hand.
But as soon as buttcheeks hit the chair
poems flutter into the night.
Bang your head against the wall
All I want to do is write!!!
I'm not a picky guy in life
I take it cold or take it hot.
But why is it that every time
I try to write I hit that block!?!
Words come kick me in the butt
and run away as I try to find
the cure form this writer's rut
before I lose my freakin mind!
Keep it comin, nice and loose
rhyming's getting easy now
still a little chunky though
like curdled milk from a purple cow.
Put the pen and paper down
get the axe and chopping block
be vewwy vewwy quiet cause
today I'm hunting Writer's Bwock!

This poem is hilarious, but sadly enough, I can easily relate. I keep a notebook and pen by my bed now. I usually get ideas as I'm trying to fall asleep. I must say I've never seen a purple cow, but it certainly serves its purpose here! Great job!!!

LOL Writing a poem on writer's block will often break that block assunder. It is why we write in the agony. Afterall will you write of love when you can't seem to get the words right, or the feeling? But you can write about not being able to.....I know some here do not understand, but it absolutely essential for a writer to keep writing even in the block! LOL, "it don't make no sense, but it's tha truth!" This poem was fun!

That is kinda confusing man, that you had writer's block but you were writing. Oh well, nice. I like your stuff man. You have a good flowing style to your poetry.

I coudltn write any of the poems I wanted to (I have 6 I am working on) so I just started typing freestyle whatever came into my head and didnt rework or reword any of it like I usually do. Hence the tongue-in-cheek quality of the poem. That's me all over I guess *shrug* Thanks for the feedback!
