Description
This is complicated and weird but I like it. The reason I haven't done this till now is because I can't find all the details of the interactions and I wanted it to be perfect, but I decided I'd rather get something out there with the basis that I know. This is rather inelegant, I may redo this at some point.Cold fusion is a theoretical form of fusion that can take place at room temperature, which is relatively very cold compared to a star. In this array, the method for this is generating muons and replacing the electrons in atoms with them. Muons are much larger than electrons, so they can naturally bring two atoms close enough together to fuse.
Starting at the top, hydrogen-2 is broken down into protons and neutrons. The neutrons are collected, and the protons are accelerated near the speed of light. Here I used frayed circles to represent permeability or free motion while still defining what's being used. Once they're going fast enough the protons collide with the neutrons, which together will eventually decay into muons. Once collected on the right, they're sent through the central loop where they replace the electrons in the two base atoms. Those electrons are collected on the left, and after the elements have naturally fused they're put back in place and the muons are sent to be reused until they naturally decay.
