Description
What to do on an overcast and drab day. Why photography of course. This is a three image exposure blend of +1, 0 and -1. I personally love the water movement created by the several waterfalls off the rocks. Contrasts well with the whole look of the shot. Forresters Beach is a gold mine of textures and vantage point like this one.

Now that I've watched it I can say it really gives a few great tips in post-processing...
I can see that behind the image and the tutorial it self lies an abundant knowledge in Landscape Photography (both for the web and for print).
I'll definitely have a look at your other tuts!
Cheers mate!

It as a three image blend. 10sec, 20sec and 30sec. I used the 10sec as the base shot and blended in the other two.

I really like everything in this shot : darkness of the cloud, saturation on the sand and movement of the water.
bravo !

And to add a bit further you don't even have any photo's on your dA profile and you have been a member for 11 months. Talk about a non contributor.

I did say you that because it's been a long time that i'm looking for a 3 (or more) exposures blending tutorial, and when i just found one but i have to pay, it's why i've been a little disappointed, but i trust you and i honestly think that you tutorial is worth being seen; when i will have little money i will upload it for sure.
I love your photos and love the sea as you actually do, and to report you it my real account is here [link]
Best Regards
Olivier

Sorry that your disappointed. I contribute a lot already to this site. I just uploaded a free HDR tutorial. I have already gone through explaining myself why I charge for my video tutorials. All I can add is "At least I do and offer them" if I personally could find tutorials like this at the price I offer them then I would be the first to pay and download.
Time to stop expecting everything for free mate. A lot of people invest in their education I don't see why photography is the exception.

You want $25 to find out what equipment you use? hmm. indeed.
You don't even have video previews...
That's not a tutorial, that's just a few screenshots of your tools settings. Theres no instruction what so ever as to whats going on and why your doing it. Beeing thats all I can go on for the quality of your tuiton, i certainly wouldn't be buying.

Watch that from 3:40, the part about freemiums. Thats how you make money out of knowledge on the internet. Even Gnomon have freebies. Not saying that what he's asking for should be free, because if he's asking about it it's surely worth something (even though it's VERY simple) but im talking the more common knowledge stuff you have up there which is frankly everywhere.

Ok I hid my last comment as I have taken the time to watch the link you sent me. So now I am less emotional. I do agree with your comment on the "freemiums" and I did look into it and I am still finding a way to host streaming on my site so I an offer previews of the video and also free downloads.
The reason why I charge $25 for people to find out whats in my camera bag is I use to get people emailing me all the time on what equipment I have and when I replied with a detailed list I never got a simple thank you so I made it into a tutorial so I at least got something out of it.

Yeah sorry I came accross as quite agressive, It comes with the work i've been doing lately I suppose.
I had a big ol' comment wrote out, but eh. I do quite like your work and if your tutorials are up to scratch, great! I'm definitely not into doing landscapes but the retcouhing section has some interest for me. It's been a while, I could do with a good refresher.
I am still scratching my head at the equipment bit though, it's more expencive than the masterclasses... hmm. But if people are willing to pay it, then good

I understand with the equipment thing... I look at it as I have spent a lot of time testing out gear and I have what I consider the best to shoot landscapes with and I was telling it all for free but getting no thanks for answering personal emails asking about it. So I put a price on what I thought I was worth. Especially when you consider buying the wrong filter kit can be an expensive mistake.
You have motivated me to polish up my tutorial section and I will be adding some free tutorials via Vimeo and intros to the masterclasses as well. When it is done I will add it to my Journal entry to let others know. So thanks for the point in the right direction and I guess a kick in the ass as well. Cheers.

Yeah, it's worth something if people are asking. I haven't heard someone mention filters in years... a lost art in this digital age I assumed. My advice to be anyone regarding gear is just to buy what works and you can afford... i've had top end gear before i could really afford it and i've definitely learnt my lesson there.
Good! Glad to be of some help, I hope it helps increase business Now if only I could get the motivation to find some assisting work in the advertising/fashion/editorial field... it's not easy over here when you're not in London.
