Inspired by reading the first issue of the TF movie comic. I feel lazy though...it's an easy joke to make.
Had to get one more dig in at the Dreamworks movie though.

Yes, I've seen pics. I personally think if you're going to do a movie spinoff from a beloved TV show -- even if it was a cheesy 80s Saturday morning cartoon -- you should stay true to the source! Spielburg should have done the Transformers movie, I say.
(The cheesy 80s cartoon comment is NOT a dig -- I personally love cheesy 80s cartoons. So many of them are MUCH better than the crap on today.)

Overall the movie designs are just very LAZY. They made no effort to make cool transforming robots, they all just basically unfold from vehicle to robot. lame. They have 20+ years of toys designs to draw from and they come up with this, blah.
All they really needed to do was take the original 80's designs that everyone remembers and update them (mostly what they did with Alternators). Make Megatron a tank or something sensible and you're done. maybe the story will save it...though not holding out too much hope (script was written by the guy who did Catwoman and The Core...ew)

So to put it simply, they are saying what they said when Unicron dropped by to eat their planet (in Transformers The Movie) but instead of him it's a the guy who is directing the Transformers live movie and did a (supposedbly) poor job on the transformers right?
Makes me kind of understand why they want to flee...
