Description
Zhang is a minor character in my third novel, Manifest Liberty. He is a silkie rooster with a mechanical left eye. After receiving an injury in an illegal cockfighting ring, he was rescued by Silas and Langdon to be healed. Langdon, being a mechanical engineer, worked to construct a new eye for him which became his passion project. Langdon’s depression eliminates as he helps the poor bird and he becomes closer with the chicken than any of his fellow gang members, even Silas, his ex-boyfriend.
