That Saturday I got really great haul. Anthaxia candens (the main goal), Rhynchites auratus, Chrysobothris affinis, Cerambyx scopolii, Anaglyptus mysticus and last but not least Saperda scalaris. When I first saw it, it was sitting on trunk of snapped cherry tree, which made really great background for its yellow pattern, but alas it flew away and refused to stay on it, so I had to accept this shot on a blade of grass. Sometimes the creatures cooperate, but more often they do not.
Season has really kicked into high gear now, sadly the weather is not looking good for the rest of the week and the next one might be bad as well, which is frustrating, because I won't be able to travel or go outside without getting soaking wet. I was about to try to find Anthaxia manca and I can only hope the weather turns out better than the forecast shows right now.
