i did like earlier today using your tutorial, because i get the steps but suddenly this caution pops up in japanese and it keeps appearing,so i thought i should give a rest until later or tomorrow, or the next day after tomorrow before working on her again..... i have her on youtube, wanna see? Can I see a picture of the physics settings on them and joint settings?
Are physics turned on?

Oh! You need to move your bones accordance with where they are weighted! Then move the physics to where each bone is and put the joints where the bones are!

hi thanks so much! I have one question :c my hair wont sway in the air, when I look to see the bones while the gravity is in "Any time" mode the bones are gone :c! sorry if that was confusing hehe, my hair is just now swaying :c

worst question ever: how did you add bones

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MelissaChao In reply to BlackCat500 [2013-02-27 20:41:36 +0000 UTC]

That's not a bad question at all!
If you go to the bone menu, the tab where you can see all the bones, and right click on the list, you can add bones like that. :3

i've got a question and i was wondering if you could help me figure out the answer..... i made the physics and joints correctly, and it works fine. but when i turn on physic in MMD, they fall through the floor. the don't keep going down, but its like the floor isn't even there. with miku, her hair will lay on top of the floor.... how can i make physics do that...?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MelissaChao In reply to pokemew12 [2012-12-27 00:14:53 +0000 UTC]

Okay. Try this. Where you change the physic to be able to move instead of being static, there's also a third option. Click that and try that.

how do you add the physics though is there a button?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MelissaChao In reply to Nagara01 [2012-11-18 14:46:12 +0000 UTC]

Connect them to the bone?
To the right of where you name the physic, there's a button. When opened, it becomes a drop down menu. Click the bone you want the physic to be attached to! Ta-daaa~ And then your bones will be attached to the physic!

Awesome tutorial! Been learning physics lately, and this is really helpful. As someone mentioned earlier- I wouldn't mind a joint tutorial either. I understand how to add them, how to connect physics and stuff. But I don't quite understand settings and which settings adjust what (like "bounce" or "flow", etc.)

MelissaChao In reply to little-liddell [2012-11-14 20:06:44 +0000 UTC]

It's hard for me to explain right now.
Allow me to research these options a bit more.

They aren't that epic. uvu
And I left out the joint settings I used because that's my secret. ;3

Amenrenet In reply to MelissaChao [2012-11-13 04:15:07 +0000 UTC]

Well if it's secret, I won't ask for your specifics, but I for one wouldn't mind a nice little tutorial of just what the possible settings are for joints, what they mean, and what they do. That way I can experiment on my own and at least know what the heck I should try to tweak for a desired effect. if you don't do tutorial requests then you can just ignore this

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MelissaChao In reply to Amenrenet [2012-11-13 20:21:53 +0000 UTC]

I can probably do a translation of them...Maybe not how they work. I can't really explain that. It's VERY confusing.
And yeah, I can take tutorial requests. I'm working on a PL2 to MMD one right now.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Amenrenet In reply to MelissaChao [2012-11-14 04:52:03 +0000 UTC]

I think I've managed to get physics figured out. And bones (though making IK chains is a bit tricky) and it's the joints I have to tackle next. I know they're supposed to restrict the movement of physics somehow? and that tweaking the settings can change it. But beyond that, I almost always end up leaving the settings as default.
