made for darkish backgrounds and the laser part shows up best on black.-second winamp skin, first submission here.
i added cursors as well. they were fun to make, i might make some more.

For seconds that's unbelievable. Excellent work, very adorable.
But the.. absence of some parts of the skin make it seem dodgy... maybe put some metal stuff going on at the background (pipes or something).. making it more interactive and interesting.. or something

I generally don't like the use of transparencies in a winamp skin. They are more often abused than used to good effect. But I must admit you have done a good job with it here, esp. with eq.
And the laser effect when moving the eq sliders is top!
Yeeesss, works great on pitch black backgrounds. Somehow I like it best when the components are separated.
Not sure why you need the protruding black metal bit at the bottom-right of the player and eq. IMHO it would look better ending that corner in the silver metal you are already using in that area.
Anyway; keep it up!!

I actually started this skin with the eq, and i ended up happy with the transparencies on it. I spent so long getting the main transparencies to balance out the eq without reverting to chopping off the titlebar and its buttons. I agree with the bad points mentioned about the skin but i have to let most sit;(. Some problems and tradeoffs with winamp2, but its still the best music player there ever was.

the amazing 3d-quality that you manage to convey w/ the subtle metal & concrete textures is wonderful indeed -- everything well fitted together, nothing too obstrusive or clunky to use, && what an original idea -- good job !

transpereny is rarly pulled off well . . . work on it or i would get rid of it.
i like the metal but try incorporating the red from the laser into more of the skin to give it a little more life like some red lights or something . . .

nice...love the tranparencies...hmm having a lil trouble using it tho...buttons not clear enough and wats with the candy cane cursor?! lol...could improve on the usability

i like the idea you got going, i think that if you pushed it alot more, added some detail to the metal textures, etc... it would look real nice.
