I decided to play around with Flash today, with one of the panels from the kiriban comic, and made a random generator, hit F5 and it will display something different, this is actually the very first time I do something with flash, the "Seven years late to the party" thing was made in photoshop and vegas pro, later converted to flash.Unfortunately I can't submit this as ID, I'd have loved to, but I'll put it somewhere in my profile anyway
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I put several different things here, and will most definitely add more eventually, whenever I feel like it :V

EDIT 9: Final Update! Added 129 Layers, there are 300 now, so after suffering with Flash killing my file and having to start from the point of the last update (Fortunately I've been saving back-ups of all of my stuff), thanks to people who suggested thingies, and sorry who I may offend or scare with this thing (Yeah, well, there are NO jump scares, but I've added quite a bit of creepy ones).
I've also edited the following layers, to erase the hair where it shouldn't show and to edit one that was obsolete:

So this shall be the final update, almost a year after the last one, I'm done with this thing.

Okay, I'm guessing your problem is probably to do with those +9s.
I'm not sure why you needed to add nine (nine dead frames at the beginning?)... but somehow I suspect you didn't want to do it twice.
(I'm assuming that putting a frame number higher than the number of frames will result in it ending on the last frame.)

Oh, I added it because an odd number would have less chances to get stuck in an specific layer, but maybe 7 would do a better job
and there are actually 112 frames, I said in the description there are 111 different ones because one of them is repeated, but I will try removing one of the 9's, I don't really understand these codes properly yet

...I don't understand this at all.Β Why are you adding a number?
The line
var randNum:Number =Math.floor(Math.random()*112);
should give you the number of a random frame from zero to 111, possibly with an infinitesimal chance of giving 112 depending on the implementation of random.
So, why not just use that as the input to gotoAndStop()?
Also, one further question.Β Are there some frames at the beginning that are never being displayed?

I think it doesn't makes much sense anymore, yeah, since there are already too many layers, there used to be like 20, so using a number like 4 would make it skip to 20, in that case the best number was 3, adding one would make the animation stop always one the first layer, but I tried it now and it does work
gotoAndStop didn't work when I was trying to use it, I tried several different ways and none of them worked
Some of them are rarely displayed, a few of the first one don't show up at all.
