This is simply beautiful..I love the red, symbolising a strong, powerful emotion, that goes in perfect contrast to the more gentler tones of the female form.

impecable proportion. nicely done. im guessing the hair is a bit darker on the original. if not, thats the only thing i might consider workin on. otherwise, this is an amazing piece.

Very nice oils work, colors, the sheen of the skin tone. The pose reminded me immediately of a piece i drew with mouse on MS Paint if you'd like to see. [link]

wow, the way u did the skin is amazing. one prob tho: she looks as if she's floating. Otherwise, the skin tones are lovely. i love the sort of contrast you create. the red also brings out the body quite nicely. a lovely painting

holy God, this is so beautiful; I love it. She does give off that, "Alone but never lonely," vibe.. the shadows are amazing and the anatomy is wonderful - oils always were hard for me. The only problem I can see is that the shadow becomes so dark on her left shin that it makes it appear thin - I thought it may have been my moniter but I turned the brightness up and it still looks a little scrawny. Perhaps give it another highlight?
She is gorgeous, though. I love it; I'm off to look at the rest of your gallery. ;D

I find it strange that Β©Subversive-imaginati somehow thinks this would "brighten your day," seeing as I don't get that at all. It's a marvelous piece, and the color is breathtaking, but I draw from this a deep sense of lonliness and despair, which I hope was what you were going for.

That is absolutely beautiful. I love the shine that you get with oils, it adds a lot to this. I also love the red background, it works very well. Seems passionate.

Very nice. I really like the transitions of the shadows up to the highlights. They're not super smooth, but they aren't blocky and obvious, either. It creates a really eye-pleasing shift of colors.

oh my goodness she is just beautiful. your style reminds me of tamara de lempicka, you should check her out if you don't already know who she is. i like the solid color blocks and how they make her skin look like it is curved and flowy while not loosing any of its femininity. i applaud you!!! congratulations on the DD.
