I may respect the law sometimes, but the officers who enforce it need to learn that the badge does not mean people are required to respect you and your authority immediately. They have to earn it like everyone else, and that is because some police forces in the country actually have some crooked cops who will use excessive force to make people respect them and lie to cover it up. It's because of such bad cops that the law has such a bad repuatation, whenever news breaks out of a white cop gunning down an African American man in self-defense, people will riot without waiting for the truth.
