my description of him on ascotd:

Venin was raised by an overbearing, controlling mother and a passive-aggressive father. As a child, he was made to feel as though he was incompetent and useless. He was verbally abused and often yelled at. Sometimes the abuse got physical, but at a level that Venin doubts he can consider it abuse. He was forced into dependence on his parents and made to fit his mother’s ideal image (which was a perfect pretty daughter). He doubted his identity as a trans man for a long time. He doubts himself constantly and holds a lot of self-loathing. He often speaks spitefully, but with guilt. He has the tendency to mask his self-hatred as self-deprecative jokes and dark humor. He rarely opens up to people and has trouble connecting to others.
