Description Down through the ashes
I try to see
My whole life flashes
There's none left for me
My house set ablaze
It was riddled with theft
Caused by long war days
My family left

Here I stand, sad and alone
The ground littered with bloody clothes
A vulture nibbles on a bone
While the silence eerily echoes
I see my Auntie's mirror
Scratched and covered in ash
Then my brothers toy train
And my mother's sash

Once I gather the gold
And dig up the money box
I leave the house solitary and cold
I bury my sis's locket under some rocks

I thought about the war
A what i have seen
The misery and gore
And horrible scenes
I'm starting out on my own
To build again
And maybe find my family in town
or an old friend
