Well, everyone knew about the Arena and the dangers that went with it. They knew also that it was one of the better ways to survive out here, too - despite the high risks of getting badly injured or even of dying in the fighting grounds

The whispers about more darker, arcane games at night were quiter though, yet everybody had heard about the ruling sisters and that it was best not to anger them.

He had known that as well - but unfortunately he hadn't known what they looked like and that getting their approval wasn't anything he wanted either.

But Malice had been very insistent, her arguments even more so , and he had been unable to refuse ... thus he was here, now, in the Arena in the middle of the night.
