Description
This is the first drawing where I used nothing but pen & ink (no washed ink, no tubular pens...). I'll stick to this technique for now, I kinda like the "simplicity" of it...Pen & ink on paper (29,7cm x 42cm).

It amazes me that you can even use the word simplistic in relation to this. Jeebus. Your work is amazing.

Wow, beautiful composition and craftsmanship. I find the detail in the stonework particularly impressive.
I'm a little confused as to where the spot of light around the skeleton's arm is coming from, but it does a good job of drawing the viewers' immediate attention to the skeleton before the spirit.
Splendid work!

I'm stunned with this deviation!
your technique is remarkable, you can see each detail on your drawing, every brick is perfectly well done and the shades match very well with the general look
very good work!

This drawing is. . . amazing. It's the only word I can think of, although the word does not do it justice.
Could you give me some pointers please?
I would really appreciate it!
Thanks xxx

That is one impressive traditional piece. The details are so massive and complexed. The shades are very toned down which makes the soul of the prisoner more eye catching.
It looks so realistic yet unreal, almost like a super detailed picture for a story book.

Beautiful and tragic all at once. And interestingly, I did not notice the "spirit" in the background at first.

je crois que j'ai vue une telle scène dans le film Blanche Neige de Walt Disney, non?
trop triste (enfin, pour la pauvre fille dans le cachot)
nΓ©anmoins, le dessin est super.

This is beautiful. I love the subtlety of the ghost. I barely knew she was there until I really looked, and she really makes a beautiful contrast to the darkness of the prison.
Simplicity is certainly not a word I would use to describe your technique, or this drawing. As usual, your attention to detail is flawless and your ability to tell a story within a single image is completely unrivaled.
Awesome work, this will join many of your other works in my list of favourites!

Awesome job! Your hatching and crosshatching for the shading on this picture are incredible. I also like how the woman's spirit looking towards the window fades well into the suroundings.

Your work never ceases to amaze me when it comes to intricacy while using limited tools.
Is her soul going to stay there forever? (that would be really sad) I only have one problem with this (but it's my problem, not yours so you could disregard this comment altogether) and that's the torch at the stairs. It takes a lot of attention; eyes keep going over there.
But other than that, it's a great piece.

Actually, I was not sure about it (the torch)... But I think you're right. So right in fact that the torch is now unlit
You better not tell me that it was better before! (just joking )
