Description
I did this as I was on vacation which for me consists of going to my mom's place who is 93 this year. We sat in the country and the online world was not available so all of this was a testament to my obsessive collection of reference pictures. I started the 'morgue' back in the day when I was a marker renderer. I clipped pictures from magazines and took my own photos and attempted to organize them into files that were then searched franticly for any elusive picture that I needed to finish a layout and which was usually not there. I think I have said this but anyone out there who wants for some inexplicable reason to be an artist in this society needs to use reference regardless of their style. I don't do Anime as a style because it is just not my thing but the Japanese are amazing artists and their pictures always look accurate and real because they are fanatical about reference. It is a pain to look up what a Tommy Gun actually looks like but with this new world wherein artists post online any deviation (ha) from the real thing is going to be commented on by orcs and trolls who have no manners.
