An Austrlian mutant with the ability to manipulate fire, Mick soon became a pyromaniac and one night, he set his family's home ablaze, simply watching his hme and family burn instead of helping. He soon turned to a life of crime after creating a flamethrower and flame resistant suit, becoming Pyro.
