Description
Red Apple, the forbidden fruit150x80cm, photoshop with tablet
"Shiny apple rotten on the inside
Skin is smooth but you soul is soft
Oh you look so appetising but
Taste the truth itβll make you spit
And how long have I known you now
But I knew after just one taste
And how long has my mouth been sour
Itβs been sour ever since that day
And how long can I go on like this
Knowing what I know anyway
But it makes me feel helpless to
Stand and watch while you rot away"

You're welcome! I think you depicted it perfectly - that everything has the same roots. I think a lot of people miss the meaning behind your piece when they don't look beyond the style of your painting. It's a shame because you have a lot of details that tell a great story.
Thanks for explaining the title. I had been wondering about that in relation to your painting. It could mean that the inhabitants need to be aware of the consequences of their actions and not act on desires that may hurt or damage the world they live on. Or if I go with a more literal interpretation, the inhabitants have already been indulging themselves in activities that are harmful and dangerous and the world they live on is suffering and perhaps dying because of their actions. Thus the glare from that single eye.
Thanks for the response! It was fun analyzing your painting.

Reminiscent of Dali, but with a definite unique and individual twist. Well done!

Wow - like many have said, this is very "dali"... but this plays with light and detail like dali never did.

It's so cool! I love all the intricate details, like the fish, the snake at the bottom, the village, the time space rift, the melting moon, what looks like veins, etc. Just magnificent.

unique style in surrealism. it resembles dali in means of color pallette, but still quite an impressive style you created for yourself.
striking piece overall, well done.

I have to say WOW. Very VERY lovely imagination. The only feature that bugs me is the tear in the time/space/continuum (what ever you call it). Kinda seems out of place to me.
