Nice shot... I often have issues with shutter speed in the OR as well, depending on the surgery. Each of the 30 or so times I've shot a surgery, the surgeon has specifically hired me to be there. So many don't care about a strobe, as long as you warn them. But in more serious cases, you don't want to do anything to distract the staff from their job.
I've never done open heart but have tons of Cath-Lab and EP study images.
