Please be aware that the game contains violence, blood, and slight gore.
The game requires at least 'Windows XP' and 'Pixel Shader 2.0' to work.

I just finished both endings and I must say.....this game is sheer brilliance, I absolutely love it. The subtle sounds breaking through the thick silence add to a calm, yet tense atmoshpere. The fuzzy haze amidst the simple structure of the room set in grayscale adds a level of discomfort and peace simultaneously. The overall presentation of the controls and theme of logic versus compassion work perfectly into the game without pulling the player out of the experience. The "gore" was done in such a tasteful way that it enhanced the game, rather than come off as a cheap visual. I simply love this game and I could go on forever just ranting about how great it is (not that anything I say matters, of course), but that'd be a bit excessive, this game speaks for itself.

Interesting... I didn't find it THAT scary though, because there isn't much to be done and I didn't shit my pants at all, and I'm a person who get scared VERY easily. The only parts where my heart started pouding was the girl/doll-thingy appeared out of thin air very close to you and the parts where the vision looked like a broken television.
However, for a short game, this is very well done and interesting. I like the concept behind it: Compassion vs. Logic.

Nice game, a real feeling, though limited in possibilities (that makes it creepy)..
Worked instantly after opening, so didn't have to install anything!

I couldn't make it past the second room, I kept quitting. But from looking at the media files and seeing other works, I guess that if you open the wrong door, a mean girl comes and stabs you.

Oh god...ehehe...I started playing and went to the kitchen and bathroom and then turned to the stairs, I took one step up and freaked because the atmosphere was getting to me. also "It's got blood and gore, it's got violence. I swear to god if something jumps out..." kept going through my head...I need to get a friend to play it with me...

Absolutely brilliant work. Played it from beginning to end a couple times.
I'm loving the simplicity you used in this game, it creates an eerie atmosphere, that I think would not have worked as well were it longer- like a short story in game form.
The effects used as well, were very well timed and well used, especially the 'walking into the girl' effect on the screen.

Dude, this game is creepy.. Awesome, but... I close the game down after I got the first key from downstairs, lost the 2nd down the drain then went back upstairs- Cuz I saw the headless girl around the corner looking in my direction. So I flipped out an hid in the room with the exit xD
