I don't get it. Low poly used have no subdivision.

hey dude! This doesn't have any subdivisions. It's pretty high poly, but still a low poly mesh. I think arond 3k or so. I plan on reducing that to about half.

I got headache But it so smooth, no way if there's no subdivision or smoothing modifier. Or just something I don't know?

Hey dude. It uses normal mapping to give the illusion that it is a high poly model. You take the high poly model and low poly, and create a map via normal map projection. Then depending on the color of the map the surface will appear high poly.

Oh man, another projection map. Ppl use this lately. Guess I'm fall behind.

Really sorry if it's listed in here, but how low poly are we talking exactly? It doesn't look at all low poly, which is really impressive. I'm curious.

Hey dude. It's not very low poly at all. I think last I checked it was 3,000 polygons exactly. I plan on making an LoD of about 1500 polygons, but the 3k mesh is more for a closeup shot.

Good to know. It's great, very well done, love the details. I look forward to seeing more.

dude would you by chance have the original template for this ?
great design furthermore

Thanks dude. Ah I'm not sure what you mean by original template. To make this I used the concept art from the ODST section of Bungie.net. There were a few good images there. I think now there may be even better concept around the reach section of concept art of bungie.net

This is simply amazing. I would rather use that Recon Helmet than the one that is for Halo 3. Love your Halo sculpts. They are simply amazing.

Nice Job. I like the helmet light you added to the side, now I just need to figure out why in 2253 AD, they dont use night vision. heck, even the odst have that V.I.S.R. thing.

Maybe the light outputs an incredibly intense ifared light that only the VISR can see? :/

Uh, what? Spartans don't have V.I.S.R., and with the ODST, no one else can see it, so your comment doesn't make much sense, oh and your quote is NOT badass (just thought I'd point that out, I don't take to kindly to religion discrimination.)

*looks at your sig*
I can tell
Look, just drop it. And don't ever look at my sig again if you don't feel I should wear my beliefs on my sleve like you do.
And I was just talking about the ODSTs. I guess the MJLNIR armor doesn't have VISR because the Spartans are so expensive, they can't waste much money on any more extra features on the suit than enrgy sheilds and HIGHLY advanced AI systems that only larger computers are known to run.

I don't have a problem with whatever YOU belive in, just don't bash others, it's NOT cool. Say whatever you want on that little box, just keep it clean.
Now onto the REAL part of this, or bungie just didn't think of it.

Oh, I see, this makes me miss the old days of halo ce, when you could use the flashlight in multilayer, even if it had no reason, it was still cool.

Haha yeah dude that flashlight was badass! Sometimes in h3 I wish I had it because it's so dark!

Yeah, I know. but VISR is in odst multilayer, so that's cool. God, why won't the 22nd come sooner.
